The recently appointed chief of ISPR(Inter-Services Public Relations) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor took charge by replacing Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa on Sunday, says the Inter military’s media wing.
Major General Ghafoor was appointed at the start of December as DG ISPR. Before that, he was commanding a division in Swat.
Denoting the event, the active ISPR boss Lt-Gen Bajwa tweeted his goodbye message in which he said thanks to the media for their support and augmented well wishes for Maj Gen Ghafoor.
Maj Gen Ghafoor who is current ISPR boss now is said to have an unlimited ordeal of operations and has ordered a unit in Operation Al-Mizan. He has likewise served in military operations directorate and stayed involved in the finishing of the National Action Plan.
Although the rearrangement of officers came quickly after the allocation of Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa as army chief.
Major General Ghafoor is from Pakistan Military Academy’s 78th Long Course and was appointed in administration in 1988. He was appointed as a Major General in January 2016.
