“Peaceful coexistence, financially incorporated region and mutual respect should be the necessary objective of government workers to build up solid and commonly gainful relations with the nations in the region,” said PM Nawaz Sharif while chairing a meeting in PM house on Tuesday.
He was chairing a meeting at Prime minister house which reviewed the foreign policy of the country and talked about the current regional and global challenges, stated PM office.
The meeting audited the present status of Pakistan’s relations with its neighbours and strategic partners and assessed different approach choices in light of various difficulties about foreign relations.
Prime Minister Nawaz sharif said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a foundation of the nation’s journey for regional connectivity and shared success.
“This could only be doable when we do a promise to our goals of peace, progress and success,” Nawaz said.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, PM’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, DG Inter-Services Intelligence Lt. Gen Naveed Mukhtar, National Security Advisor Lt. Gen (retd) Nasser Khan Janjua and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi also attended the meeting.
