South Korean Authorities Culled 30 Million Poultry After Bird Flu Confirmation

South Korea has confirmed the country’s worst H5N6 bird flu virus outbreak. More than 30 million chicken and other birds are killed which is more than double of the 14 million birds destroyed in 2014 South Korean Bird flu outbreak.

The eggs prices are also rising after the incident because a third of egg-laying hens have been culled. Business such as cake shops are also effected by the shortage.

Since government and media is more engaged in President Park Geun-hye’s political scandel, people are criticising them for their slow response to this high scale health issue.
