Balakot

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Balakot is a town on the right bank of the Kunhar River in Mansehra District, below the point where the Kaghan Valley climbs north. Much of it was rebuilt after the 2005 earthquake, and it is the nearest town to Shogran, about 34 km away.
