Gojal, or Upper Hunza, is the stretch of the Hunza Valley that runs north towards China at the Khunjerab Pass. Its villages of Gulmit and Passu sit among glaciers and the Passu Cathedral peaks, and Attabad Lake, created when a landslide blocked the Hunza River in January 2010, now draws visitors for boating and jet-skiing.
