Naltar is a forested valley about 34 km from Gilgit, reached by road through Nomal. It is known for its alpine lakes, among them Satrangi and Blue Lake, for the Naltar Wildlife Sanctuary, and for its ski slopes, one of only two ski resorts in Pakistan.
