Shigar

Shigar is the main town of Shigar District, on the Shigar River about 30 km from Skardu along the road towards the Baltoro Glacier and K2. Its Balti heritage includes Shigar Fort, the old palace known as Fong Khar, the Amburik Mosque and the Khanqah-e-Muallah.
